Heavy Black Tattoo Aftercare

Large or heavily saturated black tattoos require extra care during the first days of healing.

First 12 Hours

• Keep the original bandage on for 12 hours • Avoid touching the tattoo

First Cleaning & Re-Bandaging

1. Wash your hands
2. Clean the tattoo with hot water and an antiseptic soap (Lubex or Betadine soap) 3. Rinse gently
4. Let the tattoo air-dry
5. Apply a simple plastic wrapping bandage

Bandage Routine : First 3 Days

• Keep the tattoo wrapped with plastic film
• Clean and change the bandage 3 times a day • Always use clean hands and antiseptic soap

After 3 Days

You can stop using plastic wrap and continue normal tattoo care.

Moisturizing

Use a small amount of tattoo cream or Vaseline only to reduce itching.

What to Avoid

• No bathing for 2 weeks
• No sun for 3 weeks
• Avoid synthetic clothing for 2 weeks • Do not scratch
